Saddle Stool Height & Piston Guide
Every ProNorth model is curated for the working heights of its industry — you're dialed in out of the box, no guesswork. Use this guide if you want to double-check your fit before ordering.
Seat height by model
| Model | Seat height range | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Pro Saddle · Pro Split | 21″ – 29″ | Chairside, exam and treatment stations — the everyday range, with extra reach up top |
| Pro Swivel · Pro Lumbar | 21″ – 26″ | Standard desks, operatories and studios |
| Pro Assistant · Pro Swivel Extended | 25″ – 34″ | Elevated chairside assisting, standing-height benches and taller work stations |
Do I need the Extended piston?
Most people don't. There's only one case for it: you work at a standing-height desk or bench, or you're over 6′2″. If that's you, add the Taller Gas Piston (25″–34″) — it's a tool-free swap, and we'll also prompt you in your cart.
Quick self-check
- Under 5′5″ — any standard-height model fits; you'll sit in the lower half of the range.
- 5′5″ – 6′2″ at a normal station — every model fits out of the box.
- Over 6′2″, or a standing-height bench — choose Pro Swivel Extended / Pro Assistant, or add the Extended piston to any model.
