Choose with confidence

Absorbable or non-absorbable?

The single most important call when you switch suture — here is the plain-English version.

Absorbable

Breaks down in the body over time. For internal tissue, ligation, anything you will not remove. Holds strength through the critical healing window, then absorbs cleanly.

Non-absorbable

Stays until removed — skin closure, tendons, anywhere lasting support matters. Reach for a nylon or polypropylene monofilament instead.

Monofilament vs braided

Monofilament glides through tissue with less drag and lower infection risk. Braided handles and knots more easily.

Reading the label

USP size (smaller number = thicker), needle code (FS / PF) and length. Our sizing chart maps every code to its use.

How does this suture perform?

Is it comparable to what I use now?
It matches the material, tensile profile and needle geometry of the premium brand you’re using now — most clinicians switch without changing their technique. Want proof first? We’ll send a free sample to test against your current suture.
Is it sterile, and how long is the shelf life?
Yes — sealed sterile, single-use and lot-traceable, with a 4–5 year shelf life from purchase. We never ship short-dated stock.
How fast does it ship, and is there bulk pricing?
